Yesterday, May 8th, 2019, the Finnish Association for Nature Conservation (FANC) was pleased to present the project Manondro ala II and its partners to the govemment and civil society working in forest protection in Madagascar. The semminar aims to appreciate experiences shared by participants for the better implementation of the project.
This project is an ambitious forest conservation project that has started in 2012. FANC has partnered with Transparent World ( Russia ), and Association Mitsinjo in order to create a network of conservationists and forest administrators who seek solutions to both local and national challenges, the coordinator of FANC, Angela Tarimy said. The final aim of the project is to create anew, locally applicable forest monitoring and forest restoration methods that can be used in community forest management as well as in research.
After the success of Manondroala I in 2012 – 2014 and 2015 – 2017, the project team and partners are pleased to present Manondroala II on this year 2019 until 2022.
